Points clarification

It occurred to me that some people might misinterpret how to score points, so I'm just going to clarify and hope I haven't stuffed a bunch of you up:

You can't give yourself points for the challenges + points from the regular points scale.

ie: If you're claiming 5 points for being the first to comment (mini challenge 1) you can't *also* claim points for reccing (another 5 points). It's either/or.

Does that make sense? How many of you did I confuse by not clarifying this earlier?

Meantime: I'm loving see the # of pages of uncommented podfics shrink:D How's everyone going?

Mini Challenge 2

Do you know what might be fun? Recording and posting an audio comment/review/rec of a podfic! Sometimes it's easier to ramble verbally about why you love something than to agonise over every word that you type out. Record something and post it in a comment, or link back to your journal, or the streaming site. And if you don't feel comfortable having your voice associated with your online identity then you could always email or PM the podficcer with the link!

You could be responding to a specific podfic or just about how a podficcer in general has affected you.

There are sites like soundcloud.com and tindeck.com that allow you to embed streaming audio.

Successfully completing this challenge will earn you 20 points for each piece of feedback you leave.

Yep, that's right 20 points. Having received 2 pieces of audio feedback in the past I know how powerful it can be and how it much thought and effort the feedbackers put into it. It will be worth every point<3

ETA: It's been suggested that it might be fun/interesting to open this up to all non-traditional forms of feedback. So as well as audio feedback you might be interested in trying feedback in the medium of video or art. Go wild with it and use your imagination!

Remember you don't have to participate in all (or any) of the mini challenges, just join in however/whenever you're comfortable.
